Was the work completed for the Globe and Mail as a freelancer? I've never understood your role there - in house or contracted? Just wondering how you landed the gig.

the only thing i remember about the dream i had last night was that you were in it. you had your own tv talk show. i turned on the tv in my apartment, and there was neil in a cozy grey cardigan, wearing discerning rectangular glasses, with long hair slicing across half of one eye and a warm coffee resting over crossed legs, in an armchair comfier than santa claus himself. the atmosphere of your show was like a cross between ellen degeneres and last call with carson daly. but it was clearly a morning show. you were interviewing some professional i had never heard of - probably the inventor of firefox or something - and listening between the lines of his commentary half very interested/half skeptical (we can't really tell), akin to a dmt crit on a possibly half-assed assignment. i don't know if what i saw was a premonition for 2007 or a really bad joke, but there you have it.

happy 2007!
